Kimberly Ronning lives and studies in Vancouver, BC, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in Visual Arts at Emily Carr University of Art + Design. She is a member of the Tkʼemlúps te Secwépemc Indian Band (Shuswap) and her artistic practice focuses on ceramics. She was the 2023 recipient of The North-West Ceramic Foundation Scholarship and the YVR Art Foundation recipient of the Bill McLennan Masterpiece Study Grant. Her work ranges from wheel thrown and handbuilt ceramic pieces which include pop-culture references. Her latest work explores combining Aboriginal materials with fired clay which include horsehair, moose tufting, sinew, and beading.
